LaKera Woodberry
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management from the University of South Carolina, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding people, consumer behavior, and the importance of clear systems that drive results. Today, I’m pursuing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, which has deepened my ability to listen, anticipate needs, and approach challenges with empathy and cultural awareness.
Beyond academics, I’ve built a creative background in fashion and design that taught me how to think differently, bring fresh ideas forward, and make solutions memorable. At Progressive, my work in Customer Preservation has given me firsthand insight into how processes impact both customers and the teams who support them. I also lead a mental health support group, which has strengthened my skills in communication, trust‑building, and guiding people through complex situations, qualities that translate directly into process consulting.
Together, these experiences reflect the kind of candidate I am; someone who blends education, creativity, and initiative to design solutions that work for people and deliver measurable impact.

Beyond the ordinary
As a candidate for the Process Consultant position, I wanted to show more than interest, I wanted to demonstrate initiative by identifying real challenges and proposing solutions that matter. In addition to taking agency calls myself, I reached out to sales reps and supervisors to understand the top concerns agencies face. From that feedback, I developed two ideas: proactive email notifications to anticipate underwriting issues before they escalate, and a simplified compensation guide to make complex commission structures clear and accessible. These projects reflect how I approach consulting, listening first, finding issues early, anticipating challenges, and designing solutions that build trust, reduce friction, and strengthen Progressive’s relationships with both agencies and the teams who support them.
